Summary
In Summer 2024, I had another amazing opportunity to co-op at the Society for Experiential Graphic Designers (SEGD). SEGD is a global, multidisciplinary nonprofit organization dedicated to being a beacon in 7 geographic regions and over 30 chapters for emerging designers. SEGD is headquartered in Washington D.C. The team gave me the opportunity to be remote in Ohio and visit the team in-person during my experience. In my role, I was engaged in various aspects of SEGD's monthly events, including designing forms, schedules, and presentations. I also assisted with website design and supported their annual Global Design Awards.

2024 Global Design Awards
SEGD's yearly Global Design Awards have set the standard of excellence for experiential design, honoring work that connects people to place. I collaborated with the team to help put the digital experience together.

Key Takeaways
I approach networking as a way to build meaningful, lasting connections, not just professional contacts. I believe the strongest collaborations are built on genuine relationships, and I strive to create bonds that people remember. This mindset has helped me grow as a designer and as a teammate.
My design philosophy is rooted in precision. I believe attention to detail isn’t just a skill, it’s a mindset. Whether crafting interfaces or shaping experiences, I critically apply this principle to ensure every element serves a purpose.
Design isn’t just about making things look good, it’s about making them work beautifully. I believe aesthetics should serve function, not distract from it. Every choice I make in my design process is intentional, driven by clarity, usability, and impact. Purposeful creation is what transforms good design into great experiences.
